Our Team

Aerial Rigging has been owned by Michael Wiener since early 1999. The foundation of the company at that time was chain hoist motor sales, rental of chain hoist motors to the auto shows and providing labor for projects that required true rigging skill. Aerial has gone through a number of changes over the years adapting to the changes in the industry but has always remained true to it's rigging roots. Aerial is still recognized and respected as one of a handful of professional rigging companies in the USA that possess the expertise to undertake rigging projects of any complexity. Aerial Rigging continues to be strongly committed to the hospitality industry. Michael is an entrepreneur at heart. He started Vanguard LED Displays from a kernel of an idea. Vanguard is now one of the leading companies in the LED video display industry. When not working Michael treasures his family time, the company of friends, waterskiing and playing ice hockey at 74 years young. His nickname the "Enforcer" is well earned both in business and hockey.

Vice President of Rigging Services, Omar J. Sharrieff, is a veteran of the U.S. Army, and has been in the rigging business for 23 years. He started his career at the massive Orange County Convention Center. There, Omar gained a vast amount of rigging experience and the respect of his peers. His experiences at OCCC equipped him with the expert knowledge to be an outstanding lead for Aerial's in house relationships throughout Florida.  After joining Aerial in early 2012, he set the bar even higher in regard to safety and customer service. Omar’s mantra is “The Safety of Our Guest Is Paramount”. Omar chose the rigging field, because Riggers set the tone for the production by being the first ones in the room. Omar draws from his military experience often when faced with challenges. He believes preparation minimizes challenges, and teamwork is the key to overcoming them. Omar can be seen visiting the different venues; talking to the CSM’s, clients and riggers making sure that the lines of communication remain open, and the client’s needs are exceeded. During his free time, Omar enjoys spending time at parks and beaches with his family.

Brian Alley, a veteran of over 27 years with Aerial, leads the inspection, certification, and repair efforts. Brian's expertise goes beyond description, and he continues to advance his education and knowledge of his craft. He's been the lead on every stadium install Aerial has done, and is constantly requested by name to be the lead for most of the most complex projects we are hired for. Anyone who knows Brian will often be heard saying "if Brian can't fix it or doesn't know the answer, no one does..." Brian has held just about any role there is in the hotel, convention, and arena rigging business. Brian is a great planner, always drawing on past knowledge and experience to insure the best results possible for his customer. When not at Aerial working, Brian enjoys relaxing and enjoying time spent with friends and family.

Event Manager Christine (Chris) Allen has been with Aerial Rigging for 18 years and has watched the company grow. She's had a major impact on the success of Aerial Rigging and will continue to do so for many years to come. Chris works directly with the rigging team, Convention Services Managers, production companies and vendors to ensure that all elements of the production and permanent installs run smoothly. Every email sent and phone call made gives her the opportunity to show off her great customer service skills. Her rigging knowledge and attention to detail is key to producing a successful event. Customer service has always been her #1 priority. Ensuring that all questions are answered, estimates are accurate and always delivered to customers in a timely manner. When not serving Aerial's partners and clients, Chris enjoys camping and spending time with family and friends.
